I want to start this blog by saying that we need a deep connection with God to find out what He has called us to do.

Sometimes I am listening … and sometimes I am not.  And when I go out on my own my mouth, and my actions, can get me in trouble.

But there are times when He has called me to stand.  And when I have stood for Him—it has been terrifying.

Nevertheless, there are times we are called to fight.

And when God calls us to fight, He plays no games.

If you are in the war, this word today is for you.

Because being in the war is terrifying.  It is lonely.  It is overwhelming and draining and sometimes it takes all that we have emotionally.

I want to encourage you today.

You are not alone.

People who God calls to stand up are never alone.

2 Kings 6  15 When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city. “Oh no, my lord! What shall we do?” the servant asked.  16 “Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”  17 And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

Do not cower from the battle in front of you.

Do not be weary to pick up that backpack and walk over the mountain.  When you pick it up, it will be too heavy to carry.  But if God has called you to it, He will get you through it.

Ask Him if it is your battle.

And if He has called you—then go forward in courage.  Ask Him to fill you with the strength and courage and hope and encouragement that you will need to get through it.

And then have faith that you are not alone.

The army of the Lord is behind you.

Many praying warriors are behind you.

And, most importantly, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah is behind you.
