There are things in life where we want to break through.  And I find myself asking God, “When?”

But the question isn’t when … Life is not about us conquering everything that comes into our path.  It is about “Thy Kingdom Come”.  Many of us (me) forget this as we walk through the trials of life.

Our prayer is:  Thy Kingdom Come

Not my kingdom come … Thy Kingdom Come

And in a world that is chasing after everything but God, this is incredibly hard.

Jesus is our King.  He is our hope in all things.  And He is our hope when it seems hope is lost.

So when we encounter defeat we must constantly recenter our lives, and our faith, to be in alignment with Him.  And we must never forget that HE … is the breaker.  He will bring the breakthrough.

Micah 2 12 “I will surely gather all of you, O Jacob; I will surely bring together the remnant of Israel.  I will bring them together like sheep in a pen, like a flock in its pasture; the place will throng with people. 13 One who breaks open the way will go up before them; they will break through the gate and go out. Their king will pass through before them, the Lord at their head.”

So today, I am rethinking my pursuit.  Instead of saying:

“When, God?  When?”  (God’s timing is not the issue)

The issue is “will I be ready?”

Jesus’ timing is perfect.

And today I reject the notion of “God works in mysterious ways” and replace it with:

“When man is ready, God shows up

EXACTLY when He is supposed to … ”

Lord prepare me, to be a Sanctuary, pure and holy,

tried and true.  With thanksgiving, I’ll be a living,

Sanctuary … for You.

Thank You Jesus for your perfect timing.
