I bet Jesus has the look.

The Proverbs 22 look.

The “what are you doing?” look.

Proverbs 22 1 A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold.

And we see this very thing in the gospel when Jesus asks the question:

Matthew 16 26 What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?

As we walk into the arena, the job, the restaurant, … even the living room, we must always ask ourselves this question.

The gospel is so simple.

And the offer from God is so simple.

We must ask ourselves:  Do we want to live simple and free?

Or do we want to live in the ratrace?

As you begin your day today, seek the good name and pursue the true riches.

You will never … ever … regret it.

What good is it to gain the whole world 

yet forfeit your soul?
